About DON MORTON
Don Morton has consistently delivered distinctive value for his clients for the past 28 years, making him one of the most experienced and trusted title insurance professionals. Having the knowledge and holding positions as a title officer and a full traditional escrow officer in the title and escrow industry gave Don the competitive edge over the competition. Coupled with his experience as a Business Development Marketing Specialist, Don knows what it takes to provide Cal Best Title clients with the proper title and escrow products for their needs.
In the past, he worked for various title and escrow companies in several different management and technical positions throughout California and Alaska. He was the State Escrow Operations Manager in Alaska, and has held many technical positions in the title, escrow, and subdivision departments throughout Northern and Southern California. He was also the project manager for a 640-acre commercial and residential project that contained 2,700 living units in Anchorage, Alaska.
As a Vice President of Cal Best Title, Don excels in the art of the close, augmenting value for the client through a solid and hands-on approach. He is deeply engaged in every aspect of the deal, from making introductions, to handling title and escrow, to delegating technical complications to expert colleagues in order to circumvent any unforeseen setbacks. He is also responsible for generating title and escrow orders from new and existing clients located across the nation.
Often described as persistent, industrious, and skillful by his clients and peers, he enjoys working closely with his clients and helping them close difficult transactions while earning their loyalty. He takes pride in being accessible, accountable, and respectful with all his clients, and he firmly believes in taking ownership and responsibility for his work and for Cal Best Title products. These positive traits and his work philosophy allow him to ensure that every client is happy, and their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Outside of his work accomplishments, Don is a certified computer technician and an honorably discharged United States Armed Forces veteran. In the past, he has served on the Board of Director for the California Building Industry Association and the California Jaycees.
